How to keep the children amused...
and avoid too many mesages like this...
so i have time to play with my fabrics...
and get sorted in my new workspace... yeah!
worktop extension knocked up by R as the worktop wasn't long enough. He made the top with wood from an old futon base and the legs and frame from all our offcuts...perfect!
and a place to put our tea and cakes!
Now i am nearly set up , i will be sewing again. First project is to make myself a lightweight sun dress in time for my holiday... hope this glorious weather lasts!

I love the picture of the children dancing around the rotary line. It is like a modern day dance around the maypole!!!
You're in! Congratulations. And WOW! It looks so wonderful, you must be thrilled to bits. Happy creating, Ginny. And enjoy all the tea and cakes, they help fire the creative spirit!!
Ooops, forgot to sign off! Love Diana x
It all looks lovely and very organised. I see you have a lucky "money tree" on the window sill, hope it brings lots of success in your new workspace.
yes, I was thinking how organised your new space is.....and I have some real fabric envy going on:)
how lovely to have a workspace, and it looks great!
the washing game looks fun!
It is the simple pursuits in life that are the most enjoyable.. seeing the joy on the faces of your daughters says it all!
Enjoy your pursuits too Ginny, settling in to your new creative nest...!
Love
Michele xx
I hope that you're really happy in your new workspace...and produce great things! ;-)
LOVE that top photo! Oh to be young again and dancing throught the pegged out launrdy! :o) Such fun to have some sneak-peeks are you new work studio! Half the fun is getting organized, yes?! Oh, can R. knock me up a table extension too?! ;o) I could use something like that...must see if my hubby can do something similar...hhhmmm...Happy Days playing in your new space! ((HUGS))
Oh it's FAB Ginny! Well done and just enjoy it - all that organising is just the best therapy in times of stress!!! xx
Oh - We used to have a clothesline almost exactly like that! Then a tree fell down in a storm and toppled it. It could not be repaired. We were lucky the tree didn't hit the house. But it was still dsad, as this is my husband's boyhood home and it had been there forever. I still miss it. might sound silly to miss a clothesline, but I do.
The new studio looks fantastic - can't wait to see what you design and make there! x
I've heard of dancing around the Maypole, but never the washing one! I think the message on the piece of scrap is so sweet. The workspace, what a great place. I know you need lots of room for craftwork etc, but I feel you need a larger area for tea and cakes! The summer continues. x
Absolutely love your workspace. So cute and organized. It is wonderful...and oh! all those lovely fabrics. I just discovered a quilting store here in Calgary and I am heading there this weekend!
Yay for the new workspace!! i love the table remade from bits.. - hope you enjoy lovely creative days in your space, and make it feel like home. Cx
What a super new space to fill with treasure! No doubt it will be a creative retreat for you.
The studio's looking great. What an ingenious table extension...and all that lovely fabric...drools!
